My 22 yr old brother, was stabbed and murdered
outside of a bar in Candor, NY. His killer was Scott Dibella, who was from Virginia. It was a senseless killing, as my brother
wasn't drinking, but the fight started over a pool game. Needless to say, many lives were turned upside down...me and my family
sentenced to life w/out Chris, and his murderer was given 5-10 yrs for 2nd degree manslaughter. He's already served 6 yrs...although
it would never have been enough, in our eyes.

The FBI is still looking for a suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred
on Andrews Air Force Base Sunday evening. Air Force security personnel responded to an emergency call
from the base commissary at 6: 55 p.m. and found Tom F. Johnson of Calvert County suffering from stab wounds. "He was found stabbed to death in his office," said Barry Maddox, spokesman for the FBI's Baltimore office. made a valuable contribution." The FBI did not release any information regarding the
suspect, and said that they were following all available leads. ***************************************

Todd & Bryan C |
Walter "Eugene" Crayton born Aug 5, 1941, age 62,
his wife Betty L. Klahr born June 6, 1946, age 57
and grandsons:
Todd Crayton Jr., born June 1, 1990, age 13
Bryan Crayton, born September 20, 1991, age 11
all perished June 17th 2003
en route home to Newport Ore. after a chain collision involving five vehicles on Interstate
80 near Laramie Wyoming. They had just spend two weeks visiting Walters Mother in Concordia
Kansas and celebrated Todds 13th Birthday. Prior to that they arrived there from an extended stay in Mexico on the Baja
where they took the boys for stays there and also traveled throughout the western United States and Mexico.
Update: May 1. 2004
A
Laramie judge
has given a four-year jail sentence to Ivan Iloutchanski, the truck driver who pleaded guilty to four counts of misdemeanor
vehicular homicide in connection with an Interstate 80 crash that killed four members of an Oregon family.
The
sentence, one year in the Albany County
Detention Center for each victim,
is to be served consecutively and was the harshest possible for the misdemeanor charges. Iloutchanski
was originally charged with four felony counts of aggravated homicide and faced a maximum of 80 years in prison, but he avoided
a trial on the felony charges by pleading guilty to the lesser charges late last year. District
Court Judge Jeffrey Donnell said when a person operates a commercial vehicle, he or she takes a special responsibility to
protect the lives of others on the road by being attentive and keeping vehicles under proper operating standards. Iloutchanski
failed to do that, according to Donnell, and other truck drivers need to be deterred from doing the same thing.
“I
hope the word goes out on I-80 from coast to coast that we will not tolerate this sort of thing in our county,” Donnell
said just before he passed the sentence.
Iloutchanski
has been in the county jail for about 10 months and that time will count toward his sentence, the judge said.
Ron
Pretty, Iloutchanski’s defense attorney had asked the judge for a sentence of “time served” and probation,
saying the events were a tragic accident and the county jail — the only place to serve misdemeanor sentences —
was not equipped to handle a four-year sentence. The defense played a home video of Iloutchanski’s
parents, residents of Bulgaria, pleading
with the judge to give their son probation. Iloutchanski was born in Bulgaria
in 1973, but left the country seven years ago for the United States.
Albany County Attorney Richard Bohling had asked the judge for the maximum penalty, saying the
severity of the accident and the number of deaths warranted it. “Four years is not too
much to ask for these deaths,” Bohling said as he held up photos of the victims. Killed
in the crash were Walter E. Crayton, 61, of Seal Rock, Ore.,
his wife, Betty L. Klahr, 57, and grandchildren, Todd A. Crayton, 13 and Bryan A. Crayton, 11. The
Oregon family killed in the June 17 collision had stopped
their vehicle in the westbound lane of I-80 near the Grand Avenue
interchange. An earlier crash had halted traffic, creating a line of bumper-to-bumper vehicles. The
family’s vehicle, a blue Toyota pickup attached to a
camper trailer, was crushed after the tractor-trailer driven by Iloutchanski pushed it into the back of another tractor-trailer,
because it failed to stop for the string of halted vehicles in the way, according to police.
The
prosecution said Iloutchanski was not attentive while driving and his brakes were not working at full capacity.

John Cole
8/18/82 - 7/21/01
John was murdered on July 21, 2001 at the young age of 18. He was shot in
the back of the head while riding in a car leaving a drive-thru restaurant in Roswell. New Mexico. Gang members starting
shooting and although they were not aiming at the car John was in he was hit. He was simply and innocent victim of a horrible
and careless crime.John left behind many people who loved him so
much and still miss him dearly. He will always be in our hearts and we will always have the memories but that can never compare
to having him, which we can never have again. John was unique, kind, caring, full of laughter, loved life, and the best friend
I ever had. I never knew anyone like him and he taught me so much about love and life to be so young. He was a part of my
soul..... and my heart..... and that place will always remain just for him. I will always miss the future that included
him as part of my life. I miss him more than words could ever describe and I will for the rest of my life.
Justice has not been served yet for John's case, but I live
every single day with the hope that one day we will have our day in court so that someone will have to pay for what they did
to John and to the lives of those who loved him left behind to walk down this horrendous road of grief.

Gary Michael Walton
2/21/74-11/26/02
Killed in a road rage altercation.
Gary called me Monday night, November 25th to say he
had gotten a turkey at work and would bring it by in time for Thanksgiving that Thursday. I wasn't home so he left a voice
mail. I returned his call Monday night and left a message. Tuesday morning I saw on the news that there was a road rage happening
on Weber Road. Someone in a blue pick up truck had been killed.I felt immediately that it was Gary. I was so scared. I called him on his cell phone and got no answer but left a message.
I couldn't see things clear enought on television and convinced myself I was being a worry wart and went on with my day. Around
11:00 my ex husband left a message for me at work. I knew instinctively what happened. That was when my world ended for a
long time. Gary and the murderer, Ronald Rice, were yelling at each other up and down the highway. One had cut the other off.
They pulled off on the exit ramp. Gary got out of his car first. A fist fight began. In a matter of minutes Ronald Rice pulled
out a knife and stabbed Gary to death. He
stabbed him by heart so he bled to death and supposedly died almost immediately. He did run back to his truck. He was found
slumped over the seat with his cell phone in his hand. Ronald Rice, orginally from Kentucky, left the scene of the accident.
The District Attorney found that there had been several other road altercations. He had been arrested previously on a knife
threat but charges were dropped. His wife said he sharpened his knife every night. Gary had no weapon. The judge felt the states attorney's office did not present enough evidence for the case to go to trial and was dismissed. Ronald Rice stabbed my son to
death, walked away a free man and never showed any remorse. Gary died two days before Thanksgiving. He was only 28 years old.
He was always very
active and loved big wheels, bikes and cars. As a teenager he was an avid water skier and happiest at the lake or on a boat.
He was a hard worker often holding down several jobs at a time. He didn't travel very much but a year before he
died he got to go to Mexico which he was very excited about. Every birthday of mine he stopped to play Scrabble
with me. He loved animals and once had a pet monkey named Sammie. He weight trained because he was always so self
conscious about being thin. This made him quite the ladies man.
He had a wonderful giggle, and gorgeous hazel eyes. I miss him very much.

Charlie Langston
Sept. 8, 1945 - Mar. 27, 2003.
Charlie received an early morning phone call from a man asking him to come to his office
and meet him early to do an extra business transaction. Charlie agreed, and when he got there he was confronted by 4 men.
They tortured him with a stun gun and cattle prod, beat, and robbed him, shot him 7 times, and left him dead on his office
floor. They stole his truck and used it in their getaway. The truck was recovered 2 weeks later. The police have interviewed two men they believe were involved in the crime. Both
men have been released. Police cite a lack of DNA evidence to convict anyone, even though they have blood, teeth, hair and
saliva samples. All the men wore gloves so there were no fingerprints. The police say the motive was robbery. Three of the
men involved are career criminals and have spent time in prison. The 4th man is dead. The case remains open but not active.
Charlie was a world class athlete in many sports. He won many state and regional championships
and also the world championship in archery, and received an honorary gold medal in the Olympics in archery, 'honorary' because
he was endorsing products and wasn't allowed to compete. He traveled the world and all 50 states promoting archery. The week
before he died he was inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame. He had a huge smile, loved to talk to people, and instantly
made friends everywhere he went. The Charlie Langston Memorial Scholarship was set up in his honor, which awards college scholarships
to students who participate in archery.

Shaun Joseph Donahue
12/17/77 - 12/14/02
My brother Shaun and a friend went out to a bar in Marina del rey, California on Dec. 13th, 2002.
Shaun was going to turn 25 years old that next week and he had a breakfast date with a girl that next morning so he wanted
to go home and get some sleep. His friend who was driving that evening decided to take a short cut through a not so
desirable neighborhood in Venice so he could get fuel in his car before he dropped Shaun off at home. As they drove
down a street a SUV which was in front of them suddenly stopped. They thought it was odd and couldn't figure out why
this car would just stop for no reason. All of a sudden a group of gang members surrounded their car and began shouting
for one of the gang members to shoot. Shaun's friend tried to escape by running into several different cars but it was
too late. Shaun was shot in the back of the head with a hallow point bullet. Neighbors immediately called 911
and he was rushed! to the hospital. My family was notified and we all went to the hospital to find that when we arrived
it was to say goodbye to the baby of our family. He was pronounced on the 14th of December and we as a family decided
to donate Shaun's organs so that other families could have the opportunity to have their family members a little longer.....that
is what Shaun would have wanted. The police caught the kid who murdered my brother on July 17, 2003 and he sits in jail
until the trial date which is is set for July 20, 2004. Unfortunately the prosecutor doesn't believe they have enough
evidence to hold up in court so they might try to plea bargain. My brother was killed as an initiation into a gang.
I miss him more then anything......
